Ideas for Intentionality 3/52: 10 Year Vision, Building Children’s Book Collection, and Misty-Eyes

Happy Friday!

Can you SEE what you hope for in 1 year, 5 years, or 10 years?

Vision is the ability to see something in the future that isn’t here yet. And yet sometimes, as a Christian, it can feel weird to say out loud to ourselves what we hope to see.

I heard recently, “that as people of God we should have the greatest vision and mission for our lives, because we have the greatest Savior!”

If we wake up without a vision, it can create feelings of aimlessness and anxiety.

What could be missing is a big vision for your life!

Here are some Ideas for Intentionality that can help you get a vision for your life this year and in the years to come.

Life is too precious to go one more day without a vision that fires you up!

Ideas for Intentionality:

Book that Helped Us Lay Out 1, 5, 10 year vision: I don’t agree with his thoughts on God 100%, but I will say that his framework is the best I have seen for getting an exciting vision for our lives. Matt and I used his worksheets that are included to plan our 10, 5, and 1 year vision. Such a unifying exercise!

NEW YouTube Video: Don’t let the winter cold hold you back or get you down. I want to share how to beat the winter blues and actually learn to love winter.

YouTube Videos that can help you get a vision: 1) Making Goals as a Mom 2) Couple’s Goals3) The New Way to Plan Your Year (Coming Soon!)

Planner I Am Loving: I am loving this weekly tear-off planner. I like the habit tracker, the to-do list and the big 4 for the week.

Book that is Stirring My Heart: I am reading For The Family’s Sake. It is around 20 years old and is FULL of wisdom and inspiration to take seriously the job of creating a home.

Priceless Picture Book: I have shared about this picture book before, but we revisited it again as a family this week and WOW! The family never could have pictured that life would unfold the way it did, but they pulled together as a team! It is a misty-eyed inspirational story!

Sending love,

Lana

P.S. Consider starting to curate a really strong selection of children’s books that YOU enjoy reading. Reading with our kids can be a real connection experience, but not if we aren’t into it too! So don’t feel bad about starting to look for children’s books that you look forward to as well. I would love to hear about your favorites!
